Uncompromising Reliability

Astonishingly powerful for its size.
Despite its small form factor, the Gateway® DU Series is powered by the latest Intel Core 2 Quad Processor with Intel vPro Technology. Using less power, less packaging and casing material, it satisfies both environmental and business productivity needs.

Convenient design
Featuring a 6-centimeter thin casing, the DU Series help you gain space on employees’ desks. Ideal for small-space environments, like call centers, the design offers a new grill design on the front, enhancing thermal and 8x USB 2.0 ports on both front and rear side for a quick access wherever you choose to install the computer.

High performance
DU Series are equipped with an Intel® Q45 Express chipset, supporting up to Intel® Core™2 Quad processors, in order to breeze through processor-intensive applications in demanding multitasking environments and make the most of highly threaded applications. Intel® vPro™ technology also allows to manage desktop PCs quickly, efficiently and remotely, and increases manageability with Intel® AMT 5.0, reducing desk-side visits for software and hardware problems up to 56%, according to Intel®. Being smaller doesn’t mean being less powerful.

Managed security
DU Series feature the Wave® EMBASSY® Trust Suite, an easy-to-use TPM package that ensures ultimate document security and corporate privacy. The EMBASSY® Security Center provides security management for the platform and advanced user authentication functions. Key Transfer Manager backups and restores from hardware failure or transfer to a new PC. Document Manager encrypts files and folders to protect and share sensitive data. Private Information Manager protects data for online forms and managed login. Three Security Wizards setup and inform about using the TPM for added security to email, Microsoft® Encrypting File System (EFS) or to wireless network authentication.

Smaller. Greener.
Gateway desktop PCs are full of power-saving functions, can meet ENERGY STAR® 5.0 requirements and are certified green by a variety of international standards, like RoHS. DU Series bring the excellence further by using less power for a same performance, by using less package and casing material and reducing the transportation all-around the supply chain to the employee’s desk. The Ultra form factor is indeed the preferred choice in power saving and helping the environment by reducing the CO2 emission and power usage compared with a traditional tower PC.

A new way to build PCs
A special attention has been developed around the new Gateway Desktops. In order to reduce the complexity and time spent on repairing units, some major improvements have been made on desktops internal and external design. Thus, this has another important impact, reducing the total cost of ownership by dropping effort required for upgrades. Cable-less inside, 2 screws fast removal from chassis to install or upgrade CPU, Hard Disk, RAM and optical drive, modularized design in ODD and hard drive making the thermal, reliability better and serviceability easier.

2Shared system memory may be allocated to support integrated graphics, depending on system memory size and other factors. Actual system memory available to the operating system will be reduced by the amount of dedicated and/or shared system memory utilized by the graphics solution and resources required by the operating environment. A 64-bit operating system is required to enjoy the ultimate performance of 4GB or more memory.
3MB = 1 million bytes; GB = 1 billion bytes; TB = 1 trillion bytes. Actual formatted capacity is less and may vary depending on preloaded materials and the operating environment. Gateway Recovery Management utilizes up to 10 GB of the stated hard disk capacity as dedicated backup space.
